Executive Director, Hutson Inniss - hinniss [at] lgbthealth [dot] net
Hutson W. Inniss is the Executive Director for the National Coalition for LGBT Health, based in Washington, D.C. Previously, he was the Vice President – Community and Organizational Development for Tapestry Health, Inc. (a Coalition member) where he served as the project director for its Among Men/For Men Project, funded by the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, as well as its capacity development program, funded by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Office of Minority Health. Inniss served as a founding member of the Massachusetts Commission for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth and the Pioneer Valley Coalition for Suicide Prevention. He has facilitated many workshops on suicide prevention, anti-bullying and creating safe school and community spaces. He is a 2007 Fellow of the Center for Disease Control & Prevention/Association of Schools of Public Health’s Institute for HIV Prevention Leadership, and he serves on the board of directors for Behavioral Health Network, Inc based in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Senior Policy Associate Joseph Jefferson - jjefferson [at] lgbthealth [dot] net
Joseph is the new Senior Policy Associate for the National Coalition for LGBT Health. His arrival to the policy arena is preceded by 15 years in nonprofit management, where he worked with a range of LGBT and HIV/AIDS service providers on both coasts in fund development, strategic planning, marketing/communications, change management, and organizational development. In preparation for his transition into health policy, Joseph recently earned his MPH at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. For his practicum, Joseph produced for AIDS Community Research Initiative of America a foundational white paper on HIV and aging. The memo was widely distributed across the federal bureaucracy and contributed to the formation of a working group on HIV and aging at the NIH.
Administrative Coordinator, Kaye Gooch - kgooch [at] lgbthealth [dot] net
Kaye Gooch is the Administrative Coordinator for the National Coalition for LGBT Health. Her Coalition duties include maintaining the website, editing and sending the Coalition’s bi-weekly health updates, and editing press releases and fact sheets. Prior to joining the coalition, Kaye worked in healthcare in a variety of roles. After a career as a social worker and trainer with the Texas Department of Human Services, she moved into community healthcare administration in the nonprofit sector. Most recently she has been working in large hospital systems as an admissions manager and trainer, and has been involved in the implementation of electronic medical record systems. She left her position at UT Southwestern Medical Center to pursue a career in activism. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Sociology and has a master degree in gerontology from the University of North Texas.
