The National Coalition for LGBT Health applauds President Obama’s memorandum on visitation in hospital settings as an important first step in increasing LGBT access to hospital visitation. We would like to clarify several key aspects of the memo, including the implementation timeline and the memo’s likely impact on LGBT individuals and families.
