The Coalition is only as strong as its membership. Currently, over seventy-five organizations and over a hundred individuals have pledged their support to the work and mission of the Coalition. Becoming a member of the Coalition shows your strong support for advancing the health and well-being of the LGBT community and provides you with the opportunity to participate in setting the Coalition’s agenda and to receive technical assistance and reduced rates for all Coalition events. The Coalition holds an annual membership meeting. This meeting is traditionally held in Washington, DC in order to maximize our members’ voices on Capitol Hill and with federal agencies. The Board of Directors adopted the following process to govern this year’s election to its membership. The Coalition’s Governance Committee will provide direction and oversight to the nomination and election process. The Coalition is currently seeking interested undergraduate, graduate and law students for unpaid internship opportunities at our headquarters in Washington, DC. Interns will work on a range of projects, including policy, communications and membership development. There is a minimal amount of administrative work involved. Applications are processed on a rolling basis.
