Happy 1st Anniversary of the Affordable Care Act!

March 23, 2011 is the first anniversary of the Affordable Care Act. Join the National Coalition and our members across the country in marking this milestone and committing to continue the fight for LGBT health and for safer, healthier communities for everyone!

We hope you will consider submitting a letter to the editor of your local paper, writing an op-ed or a blog piece, or sending a letter to your Congressional or state representative about the Affordable Care Act and the LGBT community. A good place to start is with the March 23-24 Women’s Health Blog-a-thon organized by the National Women’s Law Center: check it out here.

Also on Thursday, March 24, the Coalition is co-sponsoring a webinar with the National Women’s Law Center at 1 PM Eastern that will feature updates on the Affordable Care Act from women’s health advocates, women sharing their stories about how the law is already improving their lives, and two very special White House guests: Melody Barnes, Director of the Domestic Policy Council, and Jeanne Lambrew, Deputy Assistant to the President for Health Policy. Click here to register for this exciting event!
